The questions I get asked the most are how did I go about working from home and how did I set this all up.
Isn't it what the majority of us want! Financial freedom, being our own boss and having the time to do the things in life we want to.
Which to me was spending time with my family.
Well I didn't do it on my own. I got a lot of help from other people on the net and I also got burnt a lot.
I knew nothing about web sites, let alone building one myself, nor could I afford to pay someone to build and run one for me.
I decided therefore that if I was serious about changing my life then I would have to start learning again.
Now you might wonder what this has to do with a kids site but in reality it was my daughter that drove me to make the change in my life so what better place than this to put it.
There must be thousands of you out there who are searching for different ways to make an income and I am sure that working from home sounds very appealing, but trust me it has been incredibly hard work.
I went from zero knowledge to getting by over a period of months with lots of mistake along the way.
I have spent night after night sat on my PC until the early hours of the morning, learning and building and each time I wanted to add something to my website or learn how to get people to visit it etc I had to go and read again.
I did all this whilst working full time and looking after 3 children and a dog and a horse (my passions in life). As you can imagine I was totally exhausted most of the time, but I was also very driven as my end goal would be to free me from my normal job and bring in an income whilst being able to work from home to fit in with the children.
As I said I got scammed a lot and spent hours and hours searching for the right information. I didn't have a clue where to start building a website, knew even less about html (or gobbledygook as it was to me then) or what adwords were.
After searching the net once more and seeing astronomical prices for website building I came across Homestead Sitebuilder. Here I was able to This was fantastic for me as I didn't want to throw loads of money at something I wasn't sure was going to work. I did try to set myself a budget and stick to it.
Next I had to learn what I could actually do from home, I started work on the website but wanted to venture out in case that didn't work. I had heard of people typing from home, doing market research, surveys, being mystery shoppers and lots more and I subscribed to loads of members sites to get the names of companies who did paid survey's etc but didn't get much back until I came across Legit online Jobs , Jessica Millers, "Work at home top 10 Scam FREE business opportunities - the best home based business research on the net" and income for Beginners
From the information they supplied I managed to sign up with some reputable companies and I learnt alot about sending traffic (people) to my website, Although I did find this the hardest of all the processes. When I find the best way to do this I will add it here.
So by now I had started to build my site (yes this one is built on Homestead). I wanted good quality products to sell and also to supply regular information and tools to keep the kids amused. I have worked in sales in the "real world" for about 12 years now and I decided this was no different. I sold other people's products (I was a pharmaceutical rep) daily and reported to my boss every day. What if I sold other people's products and reported just to me every day. I wanted good quality products and things that would interest me. I also didn't have room for lots of stock or the time to post things out. I needed to work with people who already had a good product, plus the ability to offer great customer service and delivery terms so I looked to Clickbank (Great for digital products) and you can get your own clickbank. store here. So now I had the basics of my webpage and I knew a little about advertising on the net but very little about how not to spend a fortune advertising. Here I learnt from a doctor in America Click here to get the info. He taught me an awful lot about setting up ad campaigns, marketing and offsetting costs. Well worth the cost of the book and I took it from there.

I continue, as most people do who work on line, to find new sources of information to help me work. I have just come across and joined ProfitLance. This has to be the most comprehensive online marketing course I have come across. I did a lot of research before joining this one as I had been burnt many times before and couldn't find a bad word against it. It holds your hand through all the terminology, adwords,adsense,setting up campaings, building your own site,affiliate marketing and loads more.

I joined this one to advertise my site as its advertised throughout the network so if you have a site to advertise for $4 its not bad and you have the chance to make money back.
A program if you can't build a website but want something where all you have to do is advertise. Again don't believe all the hype on the page you will have to spend time advertising it and nothing can offer you 4 million over night (except the lottery) but I have seen a small return 1 month in.
Something brand new you will not believe -- I didn't, but at no cost you have nothing to lose.
I just submitted my web site using this new web site submission tool that guarantees to send your web site to the ‘number one’ result on Google, Yahoo and 100’s of other search engines before you pay a cent/dime/penny. I don't know how they can do this but it is free until you get there and then you bid to stay there.
Apparantly You actually see your web site at the 1st result for 5 keywords on Google, Yahoo plus 100’s of other search engines before you pay.
I would love to help you send your web site or web page to ‘number one’ too, as that is why I set up these work from home pages, I got sick of paying money out and getting scammed. Hopefully you can experience being 1st on Google without paying a cent/dime or penny.
